One of my childhood heroes was Basil Brush. 'Boom Boom!' He was the star of Saturday tea times and we were delighted to learn recently that he's still alive and well and has actually popped into Channel 4 and met Cathy Newman. Yes, dear Cathy of the Jordan Peterson 'So You're Saying...' interview. We can't dislike Cathy somehow. She's just too wedded to the poisonous feminist ideology and clearly not very objective. Not ideal material for an interviewer we think, but the world's full of 'em and Cathy is no worse than most. Her Gangnam Style dance and chant was certainly indicative of a sense of humour. So, what were Basil and Cathy saying to each other? Was there a rare flash of insight on the part of the immaculately groomed, 1980s-haired Ms Newman? Well, no - we doubt it. But we thought it might be fun to imagine one.
